Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

Responsible for monitoring shortage results, conducting investigations and apprehensions for internal and external theft, and implementing store safety and awareness programs at an individual Saks Fifth Avenue location under direction from Asset Protection leadership. This role trains associates on asset protection policies and maintains inventory integrity through reports and audits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shortage results and execute shortage control measures
• Conduct investigations and apprehensions related to internal and external theft
• Train store associates on awareness and asset protection policies and procedures
• Maintain integrity of physical inventory through daily and monthly reports and audits
• Organize and conduct annual store inventory
• Develop shortage strategies for merchandise groups and paperwork controls
• Implement store safety and awareness programs
• Perform ad hoc asset protection responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years asset protection experience in a large volume retail environment preferred
• Certification required where applicable by jurisdiction
• Ability to learn company standards, procedures, and IT applications quickly
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Wicklander-Zulawski certification a plus
