Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - North Michigan

Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment through visible patrols, observation, and adherence to store security policies. Deter theft and misconduct by maintaining a professional presence on the sales floor and monitoring surveillance. Work with store management and law enforcement as needed to investigate incidents and resolve security concerns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible store patrols and monitor CCTV to deter theft and suspicious activity.
• Observe and report incidents of theft, fraud, safety hazards, and policy violations.
• Engage with customers and associates professionally while maintaining a loss prevention presence.
• Apprehend and detain suspected shoplifters in accordance with store policies and local laws.
• Prepare clear incident reports and assist with investigations and evidence preservation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous loss prevention, security, or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
• Strong observational skills and effective verbal and written communication.
