Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Aventura

Summary

Provides a visible security presence on the sales floor to deter theft and protect merchandise, customers, and associates. Monitors store activity through patrols and surveillance systems, responds to incidents, and coordinates with store leadership and external authorities as required. Documents incidents and follows established loss prevention procedures to support investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular floor patrols and monitor CCTV to detect suspicious activity and theft.
• Respond to incidents, perform apprehensions when necessary, and follow company and legal procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain documentation for investigations.
• Work with store management, operations teams, and law enforcement to resolve security issues.
• Perform safety checks, assist with emergency response, and promote a secure shopping environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or a related role preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal communication and ability to remain calm during conflicts.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and ability to pass required background screenings.
