Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Bergen County

Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through visible deterrence and observation on the sales floor. Monitors customer and employee activity to prevent theft and loss, responds to incidents, and enforces store policies. Works as part of the asset protection team to document incidents and support investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible floor patrols and monitor surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Identify and deter theft, fraud, and safety risks through proactive engagement.
• Report, document, and escalate incidents to management and law enforcement as appropriate.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing store policies and procedures.
• Support loss prevention investigations and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail security, loss prevention, or related field preferred.
• Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods; flexible availability including nights and weekends.
• Must be able to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings.
