Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Newport Beach

Summary

Part-time Asset Protection Visual Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe and secure retail environment through visible presence, loss prevention, and customer service. The role focuses on deterrence of theft and safety risks while supporting store operations and brand standards. Works closely with store management and local law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible patrols of sales floor, stockrooms, and perimeter to deter theft and misconduct
• Monitor cameras and alarms for suspicious activity and respond appropriately
• Engage with customers and associates to provide a safe shopping environment
• Report incidents, complete incident and shift reports, and maintain accurate logs
• Collaborate with store management on shrink reduction and safety initiatives
• Assist with loss prevention investigations and evidence collection
• Contact or coordinate with local law enforcement when required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail or loss prevention experience preferred
• Ability to remain observant and maintain a professional presence on the sales floor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods during shifts
• Reliable transportation to and from the Newport Beach location
• Willingness to work variable retail hours including weekends and holidays
