Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Sherman Oaks

Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer is responsible for deterring theft and maintaining a safe shopping environment at the Sherman Oaks store. The role performs visible floor patrols, monitors customer activity and store entrances, and reports incidents to management. The officer supports loss prevention investigations and helps enforce store policies to protect assets and customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visible patrols of the sales floor, fitting rooms, and store perimeter to deter theft and suspicious activity.
• Observe, document, and report incidents; prepare clear and accurate incident and witness statements.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems; report maintenance or operational issues.
• Partner with store management and, when necessary, local law enforcement to resolve incidents in accordance with policy.
• Support inventory control efforts and follow chain-of-custody procedures for recovered merchandise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional security or law enforcement training a plus.
• Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and staff.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods; flexible to work retail hours, including nights and weekends.
• May be required to pass a background check and other pre-employment screenings.
• Prior loss prevention, security, or retail experience preferred (1+ years).
