Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - Valley Fair

Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Valley Fair location through visual monitoring and loss prevention activities. The role focuses on deterring theft, identifying suspicious behavior, and supporting asset protection operations while collaborating with store teams and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store premises and public areas for theft and suspicious activity using visual observation techniques
• Report incidents and escalate security concerns to management or law enforcement as needed
• Assist in coordinating responses to security incidents and support investigations
• Document incidents accurately and maintain clear observational logs
• Collaborate with sales staff to enforce store policies and reduce shrink
• Conduct routine patrols of sales floor and back of house areas
• Participate in loss prevention initiatives and safety audits

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail security or loss prevention preferred
• Ability to observe and assess situations calmly and accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
• Capable of working varied shifts including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency protocols
• High school diploma or equivalent
