Summary
The Assistant Manager partners with the Floor Director and Managing Director to run boutique operations, drive sales, develop clients through CRM and service initiatives, and coach and counsel the sales team in a fast paced luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach sales staff, including training and performance management.
- Model exceptional on floor service and maintain active management presence.
- Identify sales opportunities through business reviews and track deliveries and special orders.
- Contribute to or conduct touch base meetings and annual performance evaluations.
- Communicate and enforce CRM standards and associate compliance for client capture.
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance and oversee scheduling and timekeeping records.
- Organize seasonal trainings and share internal updates to integrate sales team into client conversations.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing and maintaining candidate database for store roles.
- Make critical client and operational decisions in absence of senior leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of retail management experience; luxury retail preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, POS systems, Cegid and E time.
- Ability to learn merchandise, POS and payroll systems and troubleshoot effectively.
- Ability to interpret sales data and translate into business recommendations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
- Flexible availability to meet business needs.
- Experience supervising sales staff and achieving store sales goals.
