Assistant Manager

Summary

The Assistant Manager leads the sales floor to deliver memorable customer experiences, build client relationships, and achieve sales and profit goals. The role partners with the General Manager to support store operations and develop the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and profit performance, establish associate sales goals, and monitor budgets and results.
• Coach, motivate, recruit, and develop staff while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Oversee visual presentation, loss prevention, and asset protection procedures.
• Coordinate with buying, allocation, and senior management teams to support merchandise and promotional strategies.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience preferred, with strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and financial skills.
• Ability to guide and motivate individuals and maintain an elevated store environment.
• Computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, operate a register, lift up to 30 pounds, and maneuver throughout the store.
