Summary
The Assistant Manager of Treasury and Cash Operations supports cash office and POS activities at the Madison Avenue boutique, ensuring transaction accuracy, strong internal controls, and audit readiness. This role partners with Treasury and Internal Controls while supervising Selling & Service Assistants and collaborating with store leadership to maintain operational integrity. The position also delivers training, oversees reconciliations, and resolves POS and cash-related issues to support daily boutique operations.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of audit compliance, cash audits, and daily media reviews and follow up on discrepancies.
- Maintain reconciliation processes, documentation, and transaction accuracy in MSC and related systems.
- Reinforce segregation of duties, dual control procedures, and alignment with enterprise treasury and internal control standards.
- Monitor aged deposits, open client inquiries, remote sales, chargebacks, and store-to-store transfers and escalate as needed.
- Provide training on cash handling, POS operations, and treasury policies; communicate procedure updates to store teams.
- Partner with Treasury, Internal Control, Corporate Accounting, and Store Management to resolve POS questions and support compliance.
- Oversee POS equipment and cash office tools, execute equipment audits and escalate technical issues.
- Support scheduling and contribute to performance review preparation; perform other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years of retail and cash management experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Deep understanding of inventory management, POS systems, reporting tools, and MS Office; SAP Retail experience a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain internal controls, support audits, and manage reconciliations.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs and ability to lift 0-25 lbs. without assistance.
