Responsibilities- Work with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries of orders and track samples for Product Development and Design.
- Engage with suppliers to obtain availability and pricing for new projects and monitor market pricing changes.
- Assist with diamond quality control and provide guidance to diamond sorters.
- Navigate Rapaport Trading Network for store memo calls and organize diamond information for the costing department.
- Systematically process diamond purchases in Oracle and maintain component logs.
- Communicate with the diamond team to prioritize tasks and maintain awareness of deadlines.
- Develop and implement procedures to enhance team efficiency and track productivity.
- Represent the Diamond Department in interdepartmental meetings and handle special projects as directed by Management.
Requirements- 3+ years of experience in diamond purchasing.
- Ability to identify and manage multiple priorities with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP, PLM, and Oracle.
- Ability to build strong interdepartmental work relationships.
- Proficiency in operating specialized diamond testing technologies and equipment.
- Graduate Gemologist degree preferred and a two to four-year college degree.
