Responsibilities- Oversee daily inbound and outbound transportation for fine jewelry, timepieces, and exceptional flow inventory across the Americas zone.
- Proactively monitor and track shipments, resolving delays and escalations to ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage domestic transportation operations, optimizing routes and efficiency for both sellable and non-sellable inventory.
- Coordinate logistics for events involving carnets and TIBs, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and seamless movement of product.
- Review and validate transportation invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Assist in budget forecasting and cost tracking, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost-optimization strategies, balancing spend, security, and service quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors, serving as the primary logistics point of contact for transportation providers.
- Monitor vendor performance and KPIs, addressing service issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, establishing scorecards to track efficiency, security, and timeliness.
- Identify and implement logistics process enhancements to improve efficiency, visibility, and reporting.
- Maintain and refine SOPs for transportation and handling, ensuring adherence to security and operational standards.
- Support special projects focused on logistics strategy, vendor optimization, and operational improvements.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably handling fine jewelry and timepieces.
- Experience managing non-sellable inventory logistics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of domestic and international logistics, including incoterms, customs brokerage, and small parcel distribution.
- Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and initiative.
- Analytical and solution-driven, with strong communication skills to manage vendors, resolve issues, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A curious, problem-solving mindset and a passion for logistics and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
