Associate Manager

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store. Acting as a key decision maker in the GM's absence, the role drives operational excellence, talent development, and consistent brand standards. The position focuses on optimizing sales performance, inventory control, and the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and developing strategic store initiatives
• Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
• Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
• Lead client development strategy and community outreach in the store market
• Execute talent strategy including recruitment, coaching, and ongoing development
• Manage store operations, inventory control, and shrink goals to maintain productivity standards
• Champion new technology and More Ways to Shop to drive sales results and store execution
• Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations and uphold company policies

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus; retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
• Proven track record building customer relationships and driving business results
• Strong communication, business acumen, planning and time-management skills
• Ability to operate register, stand and walk for multiple hours, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible schedule required including days, evenings, weekends and potential overnight shifts and travel
