Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in creating and executing strategic plans to drive a profitable store business while maintaining brand standards. This role acts as a key decision maker in the General Manager's absence and focuses on operational excellence, talent development, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead local community outreach
- Execute talent strategy, recruit and develop store team members
- Manage store processes and execution, including inventory control and shrink goals
- Champion new technology and selling techniques to drive results
- Provide feedback to leadership on high profit potential and category trends
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- Retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Capacity to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical store tasks
- Ability to operate register and work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Proven track record of building positive customer and coworker relationships
- Strong business acumen and planning and prioritization skills
