The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store by driving operational excellence, talent development, and consistent brand standards. This role makes key decisions in the GM's absence and leads customer experience, community outreach, and store execution aligned to company values.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in developing store client strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate to build and develop store teams
- Drive networking and recruitment activities in the market
- Coach employees through ongoing development conversations and feedback
- Manage store processes including inventory control and shrink goals
- Champion use of technology to support selling techniques and drive results
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent preferred
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a complex high volume specialty environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
- Ability to operate register and work varied schedules including evenings weekends and occasional travel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Business acumen and strong planning and time management skills
