Associate Merchandise Operations

Summary

The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise operations including processing inbound merchandise, placement and presentation on the selling floor, maintenance and order fulfillment while working under the direction of the Merchandise Operations Supervisor or Manager. This role requires physical work such as lifting, climbing ladders and operating merchandising equipment and technology. The position works in a fast paced team environment and requires flexibility to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound merchandise and prepare items for selling floor placement
• Place and present merchandise to meet visual and merchandising standards
• Participate in floor recovery and supply replenishment during peak periods
• Locate requested merchandise within the store to complete customer orders
• Provide prompt and excellent customer service to address customer needs
• Use RF guns, PC, iOS devices and proprietary platforms to support operations
• Follow direction from management and adhere to merchandising standards
• Assist with other store initiatives and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
• Comfort with repetitive physical tasks and handling racks and carts of merchandise
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and handheld devices
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced team oriented environment
• Dependable with flexibility to work varied schedules as business requires
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks
• Willingness to drive company vehicle as needed and meet state driving requirements
