Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and client engagement for an assigned luxury beauty brand at the store counter, creating personalized makeup and skincare experiences. This role combines selling, coaching, and vendor collaboration in a commissioned retail environment focused on building customer loyalty and meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customers' beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events, promotions, and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
• Maintain a customer-ready counter through organization, cleanliness, and product knowledge

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and current industry trends
• Excellent customer connection skills with the ability to proactively resolve concerns and foster a positive team environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and a drive to achieve sales targets using networking and technology
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours with frequent bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
