Beauty Counter Manager - Ridgedale

Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager leads a branded beauty counter, creating personalized makeup and skincare experiences while driving sales and building customer loyalty. This role balances selling and teaching, manages counter operations and vendor relationships, and leverages in-store and digital tools to achieve goals. The manager is responsible for maintaining a customer-ready environment and supporting the broader beauty team.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses while recommending products to meet customer goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
• Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and presentation to keep the counter customer-ready
• Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all customers

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
• Excellent customer connection skills with the ability to proactively address customer concerns
• Drive to achieve sales goals and comfort working in a commissioned sales environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through; ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to be on your feet and move continuously for 6-8 hours, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
