The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences while maximizing sales for an assigned beauty brand through makeup applications, skincare consultations, and digital and in-store selling. This role balances sales and teaching responsibilities, manages vendor events, and maintains a customer-ready counter in a fast paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Handle sales transactions including sales, refunds, and exchanges and open new rewards accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through training
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns with empathy and respect
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and using technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6 to 8 hours and perform physical tasks including bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
