Summary
The Beauty Stylist drives beauty sales across brands through demonstration and artistry while delivering one-on-one customer service. Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools such as text and social media
- Conduct service consultations using open-ended questions to understand customer preferences and needs
- Grow sales through appointment-based selling and by opening new rewards accounts
- Follow up with customers, suggest new products, and invite them to events to build lasting relationships
- Create in-store events and network in the community to drive business
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to identify key product focuses
- Demonstrate product knowledge and industry trends to maintain expertise
- Perform continuous movement and physical tasks including bending, twisting, lifting, and handling merchandise
- Work a flexible schedule based on department needs
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of beauty industry experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and vary hours by week based on business needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization skills and follow-through
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity for continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
