Summary
Responsible for driving sales and representing a specific vendor line through deep product knowledge, client development and training of store associates. Acts as the face of the brand, provides feedback to merchants and vendors, and partners with leadership to execute category strategies and local business development plans.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales for the brand within a specific category
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing client sales
- Coordinate special orders, reserves and product movement between stores
- Educate and train associates on technical aspects of products
- Provide product feedback to corporate buying office and vendors using recap forms
- Act as liaison between department and vendor representatives
- Support special events and trunk show focus days
- Reinforce shortage awareness and adherence to standard operating procedures
- Serve as role model for customer service and sales best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of selling experience in like product
- Excellent selling and client building skills
- Training skills and basic math skills to interpret reports and goals
- Strong communication and relationship management abilities
- Ability to develop and execute sales and client development strategies
- Product expertise in fine or fashion jewelry preferred
- Ability to coordinate with leadership and vendor partners
