Summary

The Outside Upholstery associate upholsters the exterior of furniture frames, applying padding, fabric, or leather to meet product specifications and the required style. This hands-on manufacturing role uses staple guns, hand tools, and adhesives to assemble and finish pieces while maintaining high-quality standards. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently on a production floor.

Responsibilities

• Transport frames to the workstation and place onto work tables, lifts, or bucks
• Apply appropriate padding or materials to frames using staple guns, glue, or other methods
• Apply fabric and/or leather to meet high-quality specifications and style requirements
• Use hand tools such as staple guns, mallets, clinchers, and similar tools
• Correct mistakes before moving pieces to the next work area; apply webbing, springs, trim, inspect and label product

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar field
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented with consistent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks (stand, walk, stoop, kneel)
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
