Buying Intern

Summary

Paid 10-week summer internship supporting the buying team with inventory analysis, reporting improvements, system implementation support and store communication. Interns collaborate on projects and a capstone presentation while participating in professional development and learning events. Role reports to the Manager Buying and is open to undergraduate students with relevant coursework and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inventory and sales data to optimize product allocation to top-performing stores
• Consolidate stock levels to maximize sales potential
• Streamline and update reporting tools and processes
• Support process improvements during system upgrades
• Act as liaison between planning teams and implementation stakeholders for new planning system rollouts
• Provide insight and support to ensure smooth system transitions
• Serve as primary contact for merchandise inquiries from store teams
• Respond promptly and accurately to store requests

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Coursework preferred in Fashion Merchandising Buying Business Administration or Retail Planning
• Understanding of Excel Adobe Suite and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively on team projects and capstone presentation
• Available for full internship dates June 8 2024 to August 7 2024
