Cashier

Summary

The Cashier provides exceptional customer service at the point of sale, processing transactions accurately and maintaining the cash wrap. This role supports sales through cross-selling and upselling, handles returns and promotions, and helps keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing. The position may be offered as full-time or part-time depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and deliver prompt, courteous service.
• Process sales transactions (cash, credit, debit, checks) and maintain accurate POS records.
• Validate and inspect returned merchandise and manage promotional offers and coupon redemption.
• Execute Ship to Home orders, maintain customer profiles, and ensure accurate salesperson data capture.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cash wrap, queue line, and surrounding areas; support visual merchandising standards.
• Answer phones, escalate issues to management as needed, and assist with stock, reticketing, and store operations.
• Complete required trainings and support hiring and team development activities.

Requirements

• Retail experience or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive customer and team relationships.
• Ability to operate a register, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings and weekends; may include occasional travel.
