Summary
The Traffic Coordinator will coordinate domestic transportation and support traffic and purchasing operations at the Dayton Distribution and Service Center, ensuring efficient, timely, and compliant movement of orders. The role includes invoice follow up and reconciliation, maintaining non product inventory records, and providing administrative support to the Traffic Team to optimize logistics workflows.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic pickup and transportation to support business flows
- Follow up with carriers such as FedEx for reroutes and status inquiries
- Perform weekly follow up on unbilled shipments to meet financial deadlines
- Maintain and update shipment logs to match shipments to invoices
- Receive and reconcile non product inventory for projects
- Label and maintain inventory of non product material for projects
- Coordinate transportation handling and delivery of project materials
- Maintain files and organized filing systems for the Distribution and Service Center
- Provide general administrative and office support to the Dayton Traffic Team
Requirements
- 1-2 years of related experience including internships
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent communication and strong organizational skills
- Solid understanding of budgeting and attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet short and long term deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and under pressure with little supervision
- Flexible schedule including extended holiday hours when needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
