Summary
The Data Analyst 3 on the Credit Payments and Analytics team delivers advanced data analysis and actionable insights to support credit portfolio and growth initiatives. This role conducts deep-dive analyses, develops strategies, produces reporting to monitor portfolio performance, and collaborates with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders to drive profitable growth and mitigate risk.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced analysis of credit card acquisition trends and portfolio performance
- Develop and monitor forecasts, KPIs, and expectations for credit and payment strategies
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate insights
- Summarize complex data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and senior leadership
- Monitor trends in account vintages and payment behaviors and share findings
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, Product, IT, and external partners to support initiatives
- Mentor and guide junior analysts and contribute to team development
- Respond to ad hoc business requests with timely accurate analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance Economics Statistics Data Science Business Administration or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 4+ years of analytical experience in portfolio management risk management or lending within financial services
- 2+ years applying statistical techniques including experimental design and hypothesis testing
- Advanced proficiency in SQL BigQuery SAS or Python for data extraction and analysis
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker Studio and working with large datasets
- Strong skills in creating macros automating repetitive tasks and optimizing code for efficiency
