Department Manager, Leathergoods - Greene Street

Summary

As Department Manager, Leathergoods you will own a department or floor's performance, leading and coaching a team of client advisors to achieve individual and store targets. You will support the Store Manager in developing and retaining Clients, drive sales for the leather goods category, and ensure an exceptional client experience. You will also oversee daily operations including inventory management, opening and closing, and compliance with store standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the team to deliver on individual and department sales targets
• Set goals, provide regular feedback, and support onboarding and training of new hires
• Manage customer flow and ensure a high level of client service and engagement
• Drive category performance through product knowledge, sales initiatives, and performance analysis
• Recruit and identify talent in collaboration with Store Management and secure succession plans
• Lead the store in the absence of senior management, handling opening/closing and complex client situations
• Maintain inventory control and ensure implementation of policies, standards, and procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience leading diverse teams in a luxury retail environment
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting sales targets
• Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
• Client-centric mindset with passion and knowledge of leather goods and fashion
• Ability to be agile, creative, and collaborative in developing commercial solutions
