Summary
The Designated Selling Associate drives sales by building lasting customer relationships, demonstrating product knowledge, and delivering exceptional service in a men's store. This role focuses on in-person and digital selling, appointment-based interactions, merchandising, and contributing to brand education and team performance.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools and reservations
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Provide style and fit advice and demonstrate product value to customers
- Conduct DSA-run product knowledge meetings and educate peers on brand trends
- Support merchandising tasks including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, markdowns, and transfers
- Drive appointment-based selling during events and non-event periods
- Open new rewards program accounts to grow sales
- Provide product feedback to the department manager to improve assortment
- Be flexible to perform duties in other departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer rapport
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible schedule availability based on business needs
- Ability to read and use sales reporting in relation to goals
- Strong product and brand knowledge with willingness to seek training
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and demonstrating value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically on customer wardrobe needs
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously and lift items up to 25 pounds
