Summary
The Designated Selling Associate provides one-on-one customer service, drives sales through product knowledge and relationship building, and supports merchandising and departmental operations. The role focuses on in-store and digital selling, appointment-based interactions, and representing assigned brands while meeting sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and drive appointment-based selling
- Provide styling advice, honest feedback on fit and value, and educate customers on brands
- Lead and participate in product knowledge meetings and share brand trends with peers
- Support department readiness through stocking, remerchandising, displays, markdowns, transfers and cleaning
- Open new rewards program accounts to grow sales
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to improve assortment
- Be flexible to perform duties in other departments or brands as needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work schedules based on business needs
- Ability to read sales reporting and relate it to goals
- Knowledge of fashion, product trends and ability to educate customers on brands
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and demonstrating product value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically on customer wardrobe needs
- Physical ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours, bend, lift up to 25 pounds and handle merchandise
