Summary
The Designated Selling Associate sells women's ready to wear through personalized, appointment and in-store service, building lasting customer relationships and driving sales while representing the brand. The role requires strong product knowledge, merchandising upkeep, and the use of digital selling tools to achieve sales goals and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools and reservations
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers through personalized service
- Conduct appointment-based selling during events and non-event timeframes
- Provide product knowledge, styling advice, and honest feedback on fit and value
- Lead and participate in product knowledge meetings with peers and stylists
- Perform department duties including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, price markdowns, transfers and cleaning
- Open new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts to grow customer base
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to improve assortment

- Flexible schedule to meet business needs and variable hours
- Ability to read sales reporting and use data in relation to goals
- Strong product knowledge and ability to educate customers on brands and trends
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and articulating product value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically on customer wardrobe needs
- Physical ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours, bend, lift up to 25 pounds and handle merchandise
