Summary
The Designer for Purple Label Shirts leads design development and execution in alignment with the brand vision and seasonal line plans. This role collaborates with cross-functional and global partners to deliver cohesive, market-relevant collections.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market, competitive, trend, and digital landscape research to inform design direction.
- Create and maintain CADs, line sheets, flat sketches, artwork layouts, trims, and technical specifications.
- Develop seasonal print concepts with Graphic and Print teams and coordinate design, color, cost, and market relevance with cross-functional partners.
- Present seasonal assortments aligned with SKU plans and communicate with overseas development teams and vendors.
- Ensure tech packs are accurate, participate in fittings, and uphold design integrity, proportion, and fit.
- Partner with fabric, product development, merchandising, PMT, and sourcing teams; identify process improvements and guide associate or assistant designers as needed.
- Manage assigned categories and projects independently, escalating complex issues when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field preferred; relevant industry experience required.
- Men's shirting experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Experience with PLM systems; exposure to 3D design platforms such as Browzwear is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-supported design tools, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
