Summary
The Perfumes Marketing Director develops and implements perfume marketing strategy across North America, Travel Retail and LATAM in alignment with global direction. This role manages budget and a team to execute advertising, promotions, visual merchandising, analytics, social media and retailer communications while partnering with sales and central teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and propose local market marketing strategies and deliver perfume messaging to internal and external audiences
- Drive initiatives supporting field teams to define and implement in-store marketing plans
- Collaborate with brand communications on press events and public relations
- Analyze market reactions to campaigns and adjust marketing plans accordingly
- Lead seasonal market meetings for retailers and attend retailer meetings with field management
- Manage pricing positioning process to ensure market alignment and strategic guideline adherence
- Control marketing results and implement corrective actions to meet objectives within budget
- Oversee marketing portion of the P&L and manage the marketing budget and reporting
- Lead, develop and engage the Perfume Marketing team across regions
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years marketing experience, ideally in the perfume industry
- Proven brand strategist with creative and innovative acumen
- Awareness of luxury brands and perfume industry experience
- Strong project, organization, planning and budget management skills
- Comprehensive analytical skills and ability to provide business analytics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Proven leadership qualities and ability to manage a team
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with good judgment and diplomacy
- Ability to travel internationally
