Director Planning - Assortment Execution

As the Director of Planning - Assortment Execution, you will partner with Central Merchandising and Group Store Planning teams to adapt strategy and deliver product plans to maximize sales and profit. You will optimize inventory investment to achieve service level goals and drive execution of merchandising strategies that maximize sales, margin, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction while leading your team to achieve maximum results.

• Lead local team and collaborate across all levels and functions of the organization including Operations, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail Planning, Training, Marketing, and Communications.
• Implement global strategies at the local level and serve as the subject matter expert providing insights and analysis.
• Support local market and brand initiatives with strong analysis and insights to global partners.
• Manage the execution of the reverse logistics process and timeline in collaboration with Global Retail and Store Operations teams.
• Collaborate with Store Operations, Location Planning, and Distribution Center to manage assortment execution for store remodels, openings, and closings.
• Develop and maintain supply chain execution process documentation driving continuous process improvement.
• Provide qualitative feedback on product tests and develop direct reports to build strong succession plans.

• 10+ years of work experience in retail planning, buying, or merchandising.
• Self-starter with the ability to lead big initiatives and collaborate across functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
• Travel required for visiting existing and new store openings.
• Proficiency in Excel, SAP, merchandising, and planning systems.
