Dishwasher

Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils and cutlery used in the cafe or restaurant are spotless and that food preparation areas and kitchen spaces are cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards. The role supports operational and financial objectives and requires adherence to privacy regulations and cyber security measures.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils and cutlery using appropriate equipment
• Ensure dishwashing equipment reaches required heat settings per Board of Health
• Wash and sterilize food preparation surfaces at the end of the workday
• Store cleaned items appropriately and keep separate area for used items
• Dispose of food waste appropriately
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen area
• Comply with all health and safety policies and requirements
• Ensure compliance with privacy policies regulations and cyber security measures

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to operate dishwashing equipment safely
• Knowledge of basic sanitation and sterilization procedures
• Effective communication in French and English
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast paced environment
• Adherence to health safety and privacy regulations
