Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable systems that drive Nordstrom’s business forward.
- Write clean, consistent, and elegant code, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with a SCRUM team, participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transitions from development to deployment.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver enhancements and maintain system integrity.
- Participate in planning, analysis, and definition of high-level software strategies and solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and apply modern technologies to improve architecture and performance.
- Ensure corporate policies and industry best practices are observed and followed in developed applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems and ensure high availability.
Requirements- 3+ years of professional software development experience and a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Golang and Kubernetes development experience and familiarity with Terraform, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
- Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- A passion for automation, performance monitoring, and building responsive, accessible applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- A proactive attitude toward learning, mentoring, and challenging the status quo.
- Retail industry and data security experience is a plus.
