Engineer 2 - Identity Governance

As an Engineer 2 in Identity Governance, you will be a key member of the Nordstrom Technology team, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining technology products and solutions. You will work on the next-generation platform services to enhance enterprise-level single sign-on adoption, applying your software engineering expertise and passion for continuous learning.

• Lead the development of complex software systems delivered to customers.
• Work independently with a proactive approach to evolving business needs.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements and define, scope, and estimate resulting stories.
• Ensure high code quality, testing, and automation, continuously seeking improvements.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Promote cloud-oriented solutions and support monitoring, telemetry, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and Cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor teammates to adhere to best practices and provide a talent pipeline within Nordstrom.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems.

• 3 to 5+ years of professional software delivery experience, ideally across the full stack.
• Deep experience in Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Ability to present technology choices and mentor other developers.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with Okta Workforce Identity tools and Cloud Identity Authentication and Access Management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related experience required.
