Summary
Lead a Supply Chain Transportation engineering team responsible for building and operating backend services that support logistics, procurement, omni-channel fulfillment, and vendor integrations. Balance technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and people management to deliver scalable systems, leverage data and AI, and partner with product and business stakeholders across distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery outcomes for engineering teams in partnership with product and business stakeholders
- Hire, develop, and mentor engineers and engineering leaders to foster a collaborative culture
- Design, build, support, and evolve new and existing backend systems for supply chain and transportation
- Make technology decisions for the platform and influence cross-organization architecture
- Lead and coordinate distributed teams across time zones
- Participate in vision setting, roadmap definition, and execution
- Apply data and AI techniques to improve services and customer experience
- Operate and ensure reliability of business critical systems used by internal and external customers
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years leading and developing software development teams with full SDLC experience
- Hands-on backend development experience with proficiency in Java or Python
- Experience working in private or public cloud environments
- Experience with transportation or supply chain systems preferred
- Demonstrable experience operating business critical systems and working with distributed teams
