Facilities Associate Porter

Summary

The Facilities Associate Porter performs housekeeping and facility maintenance at the company campus, executing repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance to ensure high standards of quality and service. This on-site role supports building systems, grounds, and hospitality functions while coordinating with third-party vendors and responding quickly to operational downtime. The position requires a service-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and flexibility to work variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and facility maintenance tasks to maintain building, grounds, and systems.
• Complete quality repairs and upkeep including carpet repair, furniture moves, hanging art, and office upgrades.
• Support campus hospitality activities such as lunch and dinner services, refreshment setups, and kitchenette maintenance.
• Maintain landscaping and grounds care on a regular schedule.
• Manage work orders, coordinate with third-party service providers, and ensure timely resolution of downtime issues.
• Observe and enforce safety practices including OSHA, food safety, and HAZMAT requirements; practice preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Monitor supply and repair part spending to ensure value and cost-effective purchasing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospitality, restaurant, or retail position with elevated service standards.
• Service-oriented attitude with a "can do" approach and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize multiple requests, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening) and problem-solving abilities focused on process improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps is a plus; ability to work variable shifts.
