SummaryThe Facility Coordinator will support a team in providing a safe and well-maintained environment for customers and employees across multiple Nordstrom Stores and Rack locations. This role involves coordinating scheduling, planning, implementation, documentation, and follow-up of all tasks required for building-based maintenance.
Responsibilities- Ensure maintenance work is planned proactively by scoping, estimating, resourcing, and preparing activities before work starts.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.
- Develop and maintain standard workflow processes and provide a multi-month preventive maintenance schedule to the team weekly.
- Maintain computer skills to access CMMS work order system, update equipment history, and manage parts/material inventory.
- Facilitate execution of on-demand maintenance and minor to medium repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
- Operate and monitor building controls and systems, troubleshoot alarms, and verify proper building operation.
- Assist Facility Manager with administrative tasks such as parts ordering, PO creation, vendor management, and attending meetings.
- Coordinate system repairs, monitor performance, and execute equipment audits and record-taking policies.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance with contractors and vendors, track and report SLA performance indicators, and communicate with vendors to improve performance.
- Use CMMS to develop and maintain maintenance schedules, manage equipment data, update BOM for assets, and develop standard maintenance procedures.
- Present performance data to maintenance teams, track and maintain high team performance levels, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Requirements- Associate degree or combined technical training/direct experience preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a multi-trade environment interacting with vendors, contractors, and technicians.
- Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) such as MP2, SAP, or JDE.
- Advanced computer skills required.
- Experience in planning/scheduling in a retail, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Experience developing and implementing department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals.
