Summary
The Facilities Manager oversees facility maintenance and services across multiple locations. This role leads technicians and vendors, promotes a safety-first culture, and ensures reliable facility operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead technicians, vendors, and suppliers in maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment across multiple locations.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure timely safety training for employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Plan and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for critical and non-critical equipment.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor performance, contracts, and service delivery.
- Coordinate facility activities with site occupants, property managers, and business partners.
- Develop standard operating procedures and respond to emergency calls as needed.
- Support operational goals and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Facilities Manager or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, reporting, scheduling, and workstream analysis.
- Experience managing remote teams and contracted services.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education preferred; operational excellence certifications are a plus.
