Summary
The Facilities Technician 2 executes preventative maintenance and performs troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs on building and material handling systems. This role supports operations by designing maintenance solutions, leading preventative maintenance procedures, and assisting with maintenance projects and training plans.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures
- Troubleshoot maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors
- Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic ladder diagrams and control components
- Safely operate forklifts scissor and boom lifts and hand tools
- Lead preventative maintenance procedures and create maintenance plans
- Assist in leading training plans for service technicians
- Create and close out work orders with labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain positive working relationships
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with conveyors electrical systems and building maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
- Advanced knowledge of power pneumatic and hydraulic tools
- Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
- Robotics knowledge preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of a work order system
- Ability to move up to 49lbs and stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours
