Facilities Technician

Summary

The Facilities Technician supports the facilities and maintenance team by helping maintain a safe, clean, and functional building environment. This entry-level role assists with routine upkeep, basic maintenance, and minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintain common areas, walkways, exterior spaces, and storage areas.
• Assist with moving furniture and equipment, meeting and event setup, inventory, and groundskeeping.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and painting or touch-up work.
• Organize tools and supplies, escort vendors, inspect third-party providers, and report facility or safety concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills, familiarity with common hand and power tools, and a basic understanding of building systems and workplace safety.
• Effective communication and time management skills, reliable transportation, and ability to qualify to operate powered equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb and work at heights of 40 feet or more, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Prior maintenance experience is helpful but not required.
