Facility Engineer

Summary

Maintain and repair facility systems and material handling equipment including electrical, controls, pneumatic systems, HVAC, plumbing, forklifts and conveyors. Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and equipment upkeep to ensure safe and efficient warehouse and facility operations. Work independently and read blueprints and schematics to support timely repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on electrical systems and electrical controls.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic controls and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Service and perform maintenance on forklifts and reach trucks.
• Inspect and maintain conveyor and material handling equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for repair work.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine safety checks.
• Respond to facility maintenance requests and emergencies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with technical training.
• Knowledge of HVAC electrical and plumbing systems.
• High mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with conveyor and forklift operation and repair.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Self starter who can work independently.
• Effective written communication and planning skills.
