Summary

The Fine Jewelry Polisher performs finishing and cleaning on new and customer-owned jewelry, watches, flatware, hollowware, and fancy goods using techniques such as buffing, lapping, satin finishing, sandblasting, ultrasonic and steam cleaning, and rhodium plating. The role requires deep knowledge of metals and gemstones, adherence to Tiffany quality standards, and maintaining a safe workshop environment. The polisher supports productivity and organization of assigned orders while collaborating with coworkers and management on process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform finishing and cleaning repairs on assigned orders to Tiffany quality and design standards.
• Execute specialty craft work as appropriate (e.g., rhodium plating, sandblasting, satin finishes).
• Inspect orders for defects, note, repair or escalate issues, and maintain accurate logs of assigned work.
• Meet or exceed established productivity standards based on work mix and role.
• Maintain organized parts, metals and scrap, request consumables and tools per procedures, and ensure secure storage.
• Comply with occupational health and safety requirements and maintain a safe workstation.
• Provide service center support including alternate craft work, workflow assistance, and participation in special projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a production or repair polisher, jeweler, or silversmith with metal finishing experience.
• Successful completion of a Tiffany polishing bench test.
• Verbal and written English language skills.
• Ability to meet physical, cognitive and work environment requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
