Fine Jewelry Polisher - Landmark

Summary

The polisher performs finishing and cleaning for new and customer-owned jewelry, watches, flatware, hollowware, and fancy goods. Works with common metals including platinum, gemstones, and specialty materials, using techniques such as buffing, lapping, thrumming, satin finishing, sandblasting, rhodium plating, ultrasonic and steam cleaning. Ensures work is completed to Tiffany quality standards while maintaining a safe workstation and following workshop safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform merchandise finishing and cleaning on assigned orders according to Tiffany quality and design standards.
• Inspect assigned orders for defects, perform or escalate repairs, and complete specialty craft work as appropriate to skill set.
• Meet or exceed established productivity standards based on work mix and role.
• Maintain organized workflow, accurate logs of assigned orders, and secure handling of parts, metals, and scrap; request needed materials and supplies per procedures.
• Develop and share product knowledge and craft techniques with coworkers; assist administration and participate in special projects and center support tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a production or repair polisher, jeweler, or silversmith with metal finishing experience.
• Successful completion of a Tiffany polishing bench test.
• Verbal and written English language skills and ability to meet physical, cognitive, and work environment requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
