Summary
Lead and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping for the gallery to ensure world-class service and well maintained equipment and grounds. Oversee building systems, contractor coordination, budgeting for supplies and repairs, and participate in hiring and training maintenance staff while supporting leadership on capital planning.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead facility maintenance and housekeeping activities to meet service level expectations
- Oversee building and grounds maintenance including landscaping parking lots and exterior areas
- Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, roofing, dock equipment and fire protection systems
- Ensure a safe work environment by observing and enforcing OSHA and related safety requirements
- Interview hire and train maintenance and housekeeping associates
- Forecast capital expenditures and assist in negotiating contractor contracts
- Monitor budgeting and purchasing to obtain maximum value for supplies and repair parts
- Arrange and manage contractor services for specialized repairs
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in maintenance leadership in a high standards operational environment
- Hands-on experience repairing material handling equipment
- Ability to build teams gain commitment and manage decision making
- Strong problem solving skills with emphasis on process improvement
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with RF systems
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
