Summary
The Head of Corporate Communications And Community Engagement for the Americas will define and execute regional communications priorities aligned to global strategy, manage media relations and community partnerships, and serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership. This senior leader will shape the Group’s reputation, coordinate major events and internal and external messaging, and lead crisis communications efforts. The role requires autonomy, strategic judgment, and extensive experience in luxury brand communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and coordination of multimedia public relations strategy and regional communications calendar
- Drive external reputation through proactive storytelling and positioning senior leadership as industry thought leaders
- Engage and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers
- Build and maintain partnerships with local and national organizations and serve as community contact
- Increase awareness of philanthropic initiatives including sustainability and signature programs
- Support and coordinate communications between corporate and brand teams to share best practices
- Support internal communications for significant local and global events and messaging
- Manage crisis communications and sensitive issues to protect reputation
- Advise regional president on editorial process and public responses
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- MBA preferred
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong background in digital and written communications
- Proven track record building and maintaining networked relationships
- Experience in corporate population outreach and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on timelines
- Ability to influence without direct authority and work within a group structure
