In-Home Furniture Repair Technician

Summary

Repair furniture and accessories in customers' homes, galleries, and delivery centers to ensure they meet quality standards. This client-facing role requires visiting clients within an assigned territory and delivering first-class service through clear communication and strong relationship-building. The technician performs touch-up and repair work across materials and finishes and provides quality assurance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home and on-site repairs to restore furniture to first-quality standards
• Complete touch-up repairs on wood, leather, fabric, and finishes on metal, stone, marble, and concrete
• Operate in customers' homes, galleries, and home delivery centers while maintaining a clean, orderly work area
• Provide quality assurance and quality control feedback and exhibit flexibility to changing job requirements
• Deliver excellent customer service and build strong client relationships within an assigned geographic territory

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, ownership, teamwork, and urgency
• Experience with framing, furniture construction methods, and various repair/coating techniques
• Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills for client-facing work
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, visit clients in an assigned territory, and pass background check, drug screen, and MVR
• Ability to lift and mobilize items of at least 75 lbs.
