Interim Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical & HVAC - La Jolla University Town Center

Summary

The Interim Facilities Technician 2 helps lead facilities maintenance across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. This role maintains building systems and equipment, supports store readiness, and mentors other technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and on-demand preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Monitor building controls, conduct equipment rounds, and identify and report malfunctions.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, support parts ordering and inventory, and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system.
• Promote safe work practices, respond to emergencies, and mentor and train other technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience, including preventive maintenance and HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot building systems, work independently, communicate effectively, and use Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift 50 pounds or more.
