Interior Design Associate

Summary

Supports the Ralph Lauren Architecture and Design Studio in selecting, coordinating, purchasing, and installing decorative elements for stores. The role partners with architects and the Interior Design Manager on layouts, project budgets, and store installations and renovations.

Responsibilities

• Source decorative items and visit showrooms to identify samples for projects.
• Monitor furniture fabrication and antique refurbishment with vendors.
• Track decorative items from purchase through delivery and maintain project records and specifications.
• Support design inspiration boards, store layouts, new-store installations, and renovations.
• Maintain interior design project budgets.

Requirements

• Degree in interior design or a related field.
• Preferred 1-3 years of interior design or store development experience, ideally in retail or high-end residential.
• Ability to read architectural and construction drawings and sketch or diagram space plans and fixture layouts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or SketchUp is a plus.
• Strong organization, multitasking, sourcing, budget-tracking, and project-management skills.
