A leading jewelry manufacturer based in Northvale, NJ, specializing in gold and diamond fashion and bridal jewelry. With a heritage spanning 40 years, the company is committed to expert craftsmanship and fostering genuine client relationships with a diverse range of jewelers and retailers. The Jewelry Designer will play a key role in developing innovative designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing high-volume production to enhance the product lines. This role offers the opportunity to test ideas and gain broad exposure within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Sketch designs and select materials
- Review CAD designs for all technical specifications
- Partner with the design and merchandising teams to execute seasonal design concepts from conception to prototype
- Collaborate with the design team to elaborate and expand design concepts, coordinating seasonal concepts, materials, and hardware
- Research seasonal trends and develop new design concepts for diamond & gold fashion and bridal products to enhance the brand’s market image
- Assist in creating technical packages and specifications to send to factories
- Liaise and collaborate with various cross-functional teams in the product development process
- Organize presentation boards and present design concepts to internal partners
- Engage beyond immediate responsibilities and participate in cross-functional involvement with merchandising and marketing
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, jewelry design, or fashion design
- 5+ years of experience in fine jewelry design
- CAD experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to conceptualize and create visually appealing designs
- Proficiency in using Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D software, with an understanding of manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Practical problem-solving skills, highly organized, and self-motivated
- Must be onsite five days per week
